Michael Mulgrew, 34, was charged in the murders of his parents, an incident that also caused the temporary sheltering-in-place of area schools, officials said Thursday. He was charged with two counts of murder, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and unlawful possession of a weapon after being accused of stabbing his parents, Eugene Mulgrew, 71, and Cheryl Mulgrew, 69, to death.
