VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Barnes County Board of Commissioners issued a temporary burn ban for all of Barnes County on March 9th. The ban includes the burning of leaves, grass clippings, garbage pits, construction debris and fallen trees. The ban also includes the burning of crop residue, hay land, sloughs, campfires or bonfires. Barnes County Emergency Manager Sue Lloyd said residents will be allowed to use grills as long as they are monitored by an adult and extinguished after the grilling is completed.
