BELLINGHAM, Wash. — In anticipation of possible snow and cold weather this weekend and the City Hall tent encampment restriction beginning today, January 22nd, Lighthouse Mission Ministries’ Base Camp is open and prepared.
Executive Director Hans Erchinger-Davis says the Base Camp is prepared to provide 24-hour homeless services for up to 229 people.
As of Wednesday, 96 beds were reported available at Base Camp and the Overflow Shelter at the former drop-in center.
To prevent the spread of the coronavirus, the Mission says screening and re-admittance process will include thorough symptom screening, temperature check, and a rapid COVID-19 test.
