The Baxter County Sheriff's Office is sporting a new trailer to aid their efforts in keeping kids away from drugs. The 25 foot, 2020 model trailer will be used in support of the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) program. D.A.R.E. teaches students in Kindergarten through 12th grade the skills they need to avoid involvement in drugs, gangs and violence through police-officer-led classroom lessons. The trailer will be used at public events such as the Baxter County Fair, Cotter Trout Fest, Gassville In The Park, and activities at the various schools throughout the year. "The Sheriff's Office is very thankful for the generous support it continuously receives from both the public and multiple local community organizations throughout the year," Sheriff John Montgomery said in a press release.
