Hudson Reporter Public schools to shift to hybrid instruction in May Students have been learning virtually × The hallways of Bayonne High School will no longer be empty as students return to the classroom under hybrid instruction. Effective May 3, the Bayonne School District will transition to hybrid instruction, according to Superintendent of Schools John Niesz. Public schools have been virtual throughout the 2020-2021 school year. Under virtual instruction, instructors have been teaching live sessions from either their classrooms at school or their homes through a learning system called Schoology.com. Back to classrooms Each month, the district has reevaluated its instruction plan and the state of COVID-19 in the city to determine if it’s safe to transition from virtual instruction to hybrid or in-person instruction.
