The family of missing british teenager Noiya Sharabi have confirmed she was murdered by hamas. Sixteen year old noiya, her 13 year old sister yahel and her mum lianne, who you can see in this picture, are now all confirmed as killed after the attack on kibbutz beeri. They are all british. Fuel is crucial because of course, many hospitals in gaza rely on it to keep generators going and also water Desalination Plants in gaza that rely on it to keep them going. I spoke to her earlier and she explained the truth behind the rumours. I would like to confirm that no fuel has gone into gaza today or yesterday, or over the last two weeks. So there was confusion over pictures, footage of these trucks, but there are trucks that are on the egyptian side of rafah getting ready to cross and being inspected and there are trucks that are already inside gaza, close to the border. So there has been no crossover, and definitely no crossover of fuel. And on this occasion, unrwa is really stepping up its call to enable fuel to go into gaza, because without fuel, it will not be possible for us, the Largest Humanitarian Agency in the gaza strip, to work after a couple of days from today. Tamara, just explain to people watching this at home what the fuel is used for. Because its notjust put into cars and lorries, is it . Its used in hospitals, its used in Desalination Plants and its used by you as well, as you were explaining. Just give a clear explanation of why fuel is so important to gaza. Fuel is extremely important for the trucks that carry the food, the water, the medicines, the blankets and everything around gaza. So, for the trucks. Fuel is also very important for generators that generate electricity. It is even more important to generate electricity in hospitals for all the Life Support Equipment and machines to be able to function. And fuel is important for generators that generate electricity for the water Desalination Plants, without which, everybody in gaza does not have access to clean Drinking Water. So if there is no fuel, there is no humanitarian aid and there is no Drinking Water and there is no life support in hospitals. Lets talk about what is able to enter gaza, because we saw yesterday, 20 trucks moving in from egypt through the Rafah Crossing. Were hearing about 17 going in today . Thats what were hearing too, but theyre still undergoing verification, according to reports weve received. But i would like to give a little bit of context. Gaza has been under a blockade for 17 years, which really severely affected its economy. 60 of its inhabitants already depended on food aid before this crisis. So before the 7th of october, gaza received around 100 trucks every day full of food and fuel assistance. So while were all extremely happy that 20 trucks went in yesterday after two weeks of full siege, just for context, 20 versus 100 before this war. Were going to need much, much more aid if we truly want to respond to a humanitarian crisis of this scale and scope of what we are witnessing in gaza today. The situation is catastrophic for many in gaza. Our gaza correspondent, rushdi abualouf, reports from inside one of the aid camps in southern gaza. About 2,000 families living in these tents. They are people displaced from the north, in gaza. This is, a camp has been built by the unrwa. I was speaking to the families here. They said they are struggling to find water. They are struggling to find food. They are struggling to find a bathroom. They said the bathroom here is a real challenge. They said security, also, is a real challenge because as you know, hamas has been under really heavy attack by israel for the last two weeks or so, so there is no police around the area to maintain law and order, a few problems here, social problems in the area. But those people, they said, we have been given very little food, very little water, very Little Medicine to the people who are in need for this. This is an example of how 700,000 people who are displaced from the north are living in a very difficult condition in gaza city. The unrwa is planning to have more and more camps like this, once the egyptians are allowing more tents, more food, more fuel and more medicine. The archbishop of canterbury, justin welby, has visited jerusalem, showing solidarity with anglicans in the city. As we are reporting, conditions for civilians in gaza are increasingly dire. Indeed, what is needed right now is to have sustained access to gaza to bring in medical supplies but also, as you say, clean water and fuel. Hospitals cannot run without fuel and without clean water. This is something we have seen in many hospitals, they are using the last reserves, they are rationing the last litres of fuel they have. If you dont have fuel, you dont have light, you cannot have surgical theatres, you cannot run incubators and other things you need to provide life support to patients. Yesterday, we were able to bring in four trucks of surgical and trauma material as well as medicines for chronic diseases, but that is not enough and we need access. We have more supplies ready on the egyptian side and we are ready to bring those in. What we really need is security guarantees that this aid can safely get in. What kind of guarantees, who do you need those guarantees from . Go ahead. This has been negotiated at the political level and colleagues from the United Nations are involved. We, as humanitarians other, standing ready to provide are there standing ready to provide support to palestinians. We just hope that what happened yesterday was just the first of the un supplies coming in and it is encouraging to see there have been other convoys today. Really, what we also need and you have mentioned in your programme, is to look at the situation of the hospitals in the north of gaza in the light of the israeli order to evacuate the population from there. That includes also hospitals. It is difficult, almost impossible to evacuate hospitals from north gaza. Because patients who are they cannot just simply be moved, because patients who are there cannotjust simply be moved, many are on mechanical ventilators, they are newborns in incubators, people are in unstable conditions and it is very difficult to move them. We were calling on israel to reconsider this order. Talk to me about that because israel has said, it has even warned in the last few hours if you are in north gaza then you could potentially be in danger. Because obviously there will be intensified bombing. You need to move south. It is important to underline that there are many, many people who just cannot do that . Exactly. It is a difficult question being asked to Health Workers there, working in those hospitals in gaza, there are more than 2,000 patients in hospital but people in their homes who simply cannot move. People with non Communicable Diseases and people with Mental Health problems and there are 50,000 women. So to ask Health Workers to try to evacuate patients, whose evacuation would probably be a Death Sentence for those people, is something really difficult. People who are on life support simply cannot be moved. So this is why we were pleading with israel to reconsider this order. Here in the uk, about 500 homes in the nottinghamshire town of retford are being evacuated because of flooding caused by storm babet. The County Council has declared a Major Incident and urged everyone to leave. The river idle has reached Record Levels and they are still rising threatening the town. The Environment Agency says flooding from the storm, which has caused widespread damage in scotland and the north east of england, could last until wednesday. Our correspondent, andy gill, updated us on the situation. Parts of retford are already suffering the aftermath of storm babet. Up to 600 properties are affected by the severe flood warning. That means there is a threat to life. The water is already in liams home. It peaked at around three oclock this morning, thats when we first noticed all the water had come in. The fire service came round this morning and told us that at eight oclock this evening, it is going to rise by 30 or 35 centimetres, so we are going to be really, really hit by it. Some residents have already left. This morning, when i came home, obviously there was all this. So everyone has been asked to evacuate i have tried to get as much as possible up the stairs and out of the way, but, yes, it isjust horrible. The nottinghamshire Resilience Forum says that although no more significant rainfall is forecast, they expect river levels to keep on rising and there could be a threat to life until tuesday. Some of those evacuated are going to a local leisure centre. The absolutely unprecedented rainfall has created so much water, this hasnt happened before. There is such a volume of water coming down the river all at once that basically, it is not designed to cope with it. In south yorkshire, the floodwater has been as high as peoples ceilings. You felt a bit helpless to start with, to be perfectly honest, because obviously nobody could get access to places, and we were just wondering and hoping that everybody was ok and safe. That was the most important thing. And then as soon as people could get access, everybody, it was all hands on deck. And what are the candidates saying theyre going to do differently from each other in terms of the economy . Incumbent peronist minister, economy minister is seen as, you know, the status quo, but actually, you know, nothing is going to change under him. When youve got, youve obviously got patricia bullrich, the former security minister. You know, shes, again, one of the political kind of big hitters. Again, no change for a lot of people here in argentina. So javier milei is seen as somebody, hes an outsider. Hes not one of the political cast. Thats what, you know, hes touting himself as. And so thats what people want, is they want different solutions. You know, its notjust about having welfare packages. Its notjust about trying to offer, you know, options of trying to stabilise the economy. Its just thinking up very, very different solutions. But, of course, people are very concerned about that here in argentina, about the instability, about how the markets react to that. But youve also got, you know, other issues beyond the economy that people want to talk about. So javier milei, for example, talks about liberalising arms, restricting abortion rights. Hes also talked about talked down the atrocities of argentinas dictatorship. So all of these discussions are going on in argentina. But its the economy, every single time you speak to every single voter going in the doors behind me, who Say Theyjust Want to be able to live their lives as normal. Ukrainian Officials Say six people were killed in a Russian Missile strike on kharkiv. And in eastern scotland, it looks as though in excess of 200 millimetres of rain injust that one storm. Wakefield there, 144 millimetres. The South Of England also had a lot of rainfall. And just because the sun is out, it doesnt necessarily mean that the threat is completely over. You may want to check the Environment Agency website, sepa as well in scotland, to see what those river levels are doing. Because sometimes, there is quite a delay from the moment when it starts raining to the peak of when flood waters arrive. A Weather Front is approaching. Therell be some rain around tomorrow, i think, in the very far south west of the uk. This next Weather Front sweeps in from the south. So i think more wet weather to come, at least across some parts of the country. So, yes, were in a sort of spell of drier weather now, but more rain is forecast. Its not going to be anywhere near as widespread and persistent at least, not until tuesday or wednesday. Later on wednesday, it does look as though the weather is going to go downhill once again, as another very large area of low pressure sweeps in off the atlantic.
