Belkhimprofsoyuz May Be Expelled from an Influential Interna

IndustriAll Global Union stands ready to make a fundamental decision.
The international trade union of workers IndustriAll is ready to exclude Belkhimprofsoyuz from its ranks, Salidarnasts reports.
- IndustriAll is ready to help financially strike committees and independent trade unions in Belarus, as well as to exclude Belkhimprofsoyuz. Also, the organizations will put pressure on the management of Belarusian enterprises, where the rights of workers are infringed upon, the newspaper reports.
The Belarusian trade union of workers in the chemical, mining, and oil industries (Belkhimprofsoyuz) is a member organization of the Federation of Trade Unions of Belarus.
It received transit status in 1993 and became a full member of the International Federation of Trade Unions of the Chemical, Mining, Energy, and General Workers in 1996.
