(WWBT) - A beloved Henrico County firefighter who spent 35 years on the job and was recently searching for a kidney match, has passed away, family members say. Retired Henrico County Fire Lt. Grover Barnett died Jan. 2 at the age of 70. Sharon Barnett, his wife of 50 years, said her husband had a bad fall on Dec. 30 and was admitted to the hospital for surgery. Barnett was doing well but unfortunately passed away quickly Saturday night, she added.
