Bendicks’ latest launch taps into dark chocolate trend Print 8th April 2021 Chocolate confectionery brand Bendicks is adding a Mint Fondants box to its line-up, in a move designed to “tap into the growing trend for indulgent options as more shoppers buy into darker chocolate”. Bendicks Mint Fondants (180g; £4.11) will be available to the convenience sector from May and consist of a peppermint fondant coated in 50% dark chocolate Dark chocolate is “one of the biggest growing trends in confectionery”, with value sales up 23% and showing “no sign of slowing down”. The launch is expected to “drive further growth to the boxed chocolate category”.
