Dec 15, 2020 6:31 AM The Opposition grilled another cabinet minister yesterday over allegations of interference with a police investigation surrounding the leak of confidential cabinet information. An RCMP document states Tourism Minister Bernard Davis called RNC Chief Joe Boland in March, looking for an update on the investigation into then-minister Sherry Gambin-Walsh and an RNC officer. Gambin-Walsh and Sgt. Paul Didham were being investigated with breach of trust over leaked details of RNC promotions, but later cleared. PC Leader Ches Crosbie cited the RCMP document in questioning Davis on the matter. He wanted to know if Davis believes it was appropriate to call the chief of police looking for information about an ongoing investigation of a fellow minister.
