Best of the West: Maxwell left frustrated by opening day defeat It was hardly emphatic or pretty on the eye it has to be said, but a winning start to their WoSFL campaign was all that anyone connected with Benburb wanted to be looking at this morning and through blood, sweat and a few bucketfuls more sweat (on the warmest day of the Scottish summer to date) they got their wish with a 1-0 victory over Rob Roy. The Bens got over the line with 22 minutes on the clock, arguably against the run of play following an opening period by and large dominated by a visiting Rabs side aided by a strong wind blowing down New Tinto Park - and one that had come close to snatching an opening score on several occasions.
