PeopleImages/iStock/Getty Images Collaborations with McDonald's, Pizza Hut, KFC and Taco Bell seek to create new menu plant-based menu items. Beyond Meat recently announced it has established agreements with two large restaurant entities. The company has entered a three-year global strategic agreement with McDonald’s Corporation and has also established a partnership with Yum! Brands, which is the parent company for restaurants including KFC, Taco Bell, and Pizza Hut. As part of the agreement, Beyond Meat will be McDonald’s preferred supplier for the patty in the McPlant, a new plant-based burger being tested in select McDonald’s markets globally. Additionally, Beyond Meat and McDonald’s will explore co-developing other plant-based menu items – like plant-based options for chicken, pork, and egg – as part of McDonald’s broader McPlant platform.
