Big Bear bald eagles try again after losing first three eggs of 2021 [Redlands Daily Facts, Calif.] Feb. 9—Big Bear-area bald eagle couple Jackie and Shadow just don’t take “no” for an answer. The pair lost all three eggs laid in January, but on Monday afternoon, Feb. 8, Jackie laid her fourth egg live on the Friends of Big Bear Valley streaming nest cam. “Shadow was by her side for much of the beautiful event,” the group posted on its Facebook page. “Jackie looks good and is now resting.” Two of January’s eggs were eaten by ravens, and the third was broken in the laying process, but the couple continued to work on the nest, even after it filled with snow at the end of January.
