Big Connectivity Boost For Uttarakhand: Centre Approves 28 Highway Projects Worth Rs 1,210 Crore In The State Union Minister Nitin Gadkari (Photo by Shekhar Yadav/India Today Group/Getty Images) In a big infrastructure and connectivity boost for Uttarakhand, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari on Thursday (8 April) said that the Centre has approved 28 highway projects worth Rs 1,210.17 crore for the state, reports Economic Times. The projects involve building of 231.04 kilometres of highways including strengthing work on several highways in the hill state. Besides, the construction of a 900.3-metres-long tunnel in Rudraprayag, and a major bridge on Alaknanda river which would connect National Highway (NH)-107 to NH-7 have also been approved.
