New Delhi: The organisational reshuffle in BJP over the last one month indicates that it is looking at developing a new line of leadership from RSS. On Thursday, BJP announced a change in the role of its three joint general secretaries (organisation) . The posts of organisational general secretary and joint secretary are occupied by RSS leaders. On Thursday, joint general secretary Saudan Singh, who was very active during the Bihar assembly elections, was appointed national vice president with responsibility of states such as Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh. Singh would now be based in Chandigarh. Apart from Singh, V Satish, was appointed Sangathak, a new post in which he would be looking after BJP parliamentary party office, SC/ST Morcha and special contact programmess. Another joint secretary (organisation) Shiv Prakash, who is invested in West Bengal elections, has also been given the charge of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The position of organisational secretary is important in BJP and the person is responsible for coordination between RSS and the party.
