Herald photo by Ian Martens @IMartensHerald Lethbridge police say a 34-year-old man has been taken into custody under the Mental Health Act following a standoff on the city’s westside Wednesday afternoon. Police say they were called to a home in the 500-block of Blackfoot Manor West at about 2 p.m. following reports of concerning phone calls the man had with others. Police contained the area but were unable to establish communications. After receiving information there were weapons in the home, the Critical Incident Response Team and Tactical Team were deployed.
