Bloodied Snapchat message leads to arrest : vimarsana.com

JONESBORO — A social media post led to the arrest of a Poinsett County man police say “severely beat” a woman on Christmas.
The victim’s family called for a welfare check after receiving a Snapchat message showing her injuries asking for help, according to the probable cause affidavit. When officers with the Jonesboro Police Department arrived at the woman’s home on Kathleen Street, she “was discovered motionless in the bathtub.”
Jermey Burns, 27, of Marked Tree, barricaded himself in a bedroom with the bed holding the door shut. Burns was armed with a box cutter during his Friday arrest, documents indicate.
