Board of health ratifies contracts with three bargaining units

The board of health for the Grey Bruce Health Unit has ratified new two-year collective agreements with three bargaining units, which cover a combined 122 staff at public health.
The collective agreements with the Ontario Nurses’ Association, Ontario Public Service Employees’ Union-ProTech and OPSEU Support each include wage increases of one per cent in Year 1 and 1.5 per cent in Year 2, according to a public health news release.

Matthew McMurdie, the Grey Bruce Health Unit’s director of corporate services, said the board ratified the ONA contract at its meeting Nov. 27 and the two OPSEU agreements Dec. 18. The agreements were ratified by the bargaining units before the board’s votes.
