UPDATE: The boil water advisory was lifted Sunday, May 2, 2021. A water main break near Glendale Park in Endicott has prompted a boil water advisory for residents that could last up to four days. Village of Endicott Water Department released a statement Friday saying crews were working to repair the main line and at least two rounds of water samples will be taken 24 hours apart to determine when it is safe to drink. Lost pressure increases the chance untreated water and harmful microbes could enter the water system. "It is likely that you will need to boil water for the next 3 or 4 days," officials said in the statement, "until the problem is fixed."
