Bootleg Fire nearing 300,000 acres, officials state the fire could be even larger
NewsWatch 12 has just learned that the Bootleg Fire burning in Klamath and Lake Counties has now destroyed 290,196 acres, but that the fire could be even larger.

CHILOQUIN, Ore-- The Bootleg Fire has already burned more than 200,000 acres of land, destroyed hundreds of strctures, including 67 homes and 117 outbuildings according to the Klamath County Sheriff's Office, and forced thousands of people into temporary shelters. 
But tonight, Saturday July 17, NewsWatch 12 has learned from fire officials working on the Bootleg Fire, that the blaze is nearing 300,000 acres but that the fire could actually in fact be even larger.
