BROCKTON — Eligible students can be vaccinated against COVID-19 during a clinic at Brockton High School on Thursday and Friday. Brockton Public Schools are holding a voluntary coronavirus vaccination clinic for students 16 years of age and older and any family members who wish to be vaccinated on the Forest Avenue campus. "To my knowledge, it has not happened anywhere in the commonwealth yet — at an education facility such as Brockton High," Mayor Robert Sullivan said. "We expect, through the marketing and the informing, that we'll have a high number." The Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine, which is currently the only vaccine authorized for people 16 and 17 years old, will be offered. The same vaccine is soon expected to be authorized by the the Food and Drug Administration for ages 12 to 15 and the company is expected to seek approval for ages 2 to 11 in September.
