Broker held for taking Tk 1.05 lakh to modify NID card Star Online Report Star Online Report The National Identity (NID) Registration Wing has detained a broker for allegedly taking Tk 1.05 lakh from an applicant to make amends to a NID card. The broker Md Bahadur, hailing from Patuakhali, was arrested from the Electoral Training Institute (ETI) office in the capital's Agargaon yesterday afternoon, a press release issued by the NID Registration Wing said today. Bahadur took the money from applicant Noor Jalal Sheikh assuring him that his age in the NID card will be reduced by 10 years through modification. During the primary interrogation, Bahadur confessed to taking the money. He was later handed over to Rapid Action Battalion (Rab), added the release.
