The City of Brookings announced the retirement of its fire chief Monday, according to a press release. The City of Brookings stated in the release that Fire Chief Darrell Hartmann has retired after 23 years of service. Deputy Fire Chief Pete Bolzer will serve as Interim Fire Chief, according to the release.
