Wicked Local Brookline should take steps to improve access to technology, food, and COVID-19 testing and vaccination, according to a preliminary report on townwide disparities. The report is the product of a working group consisting of representatives from the Office of Diversity, Inclusion, and Community Relations (ODICR), the Commission of DICR and various community members. Town Meeting, via a resolution passed in November 2020, has tasked the group with identifying disparities in Brookline’s programming, resources and services, and suggesting ways to repair them. The final product will consider 15 different areas, ranging from employment to housing, childcare and civic engagement.
