Broussad hosts city-wide decorating contest Merry and Bright and last updated 2020-12-18 14:55:01-05 The City of Broussard will host it's inaugural city-wide Christmas lights decorating contest on Friday, December 18th. The event is a chance for residents and businesses to get into the Christmas spirit. Prizes will be awarded for the best business and residential displays. Judging will start at dark. Those participating are asked to put their lights on between 5:15 and 5:30pm. Judges will be on a trolley and will make their way to all 49 participants. They will not be able to go back for a second round and will be staying on the trolley at all times.
