By Frankie P Jul 28, 2021 Following a vote, the Broward County School Board has decided to impose a mask mandate that will begin the first day of school. This comes as a result of a surge in COVID cases due to the Delta Variant. According to the Broward County Mayor, cases have almost doubled each day leaving many parents and students concerned about their safety when returning to classes on August 18th. The school chair, Rosalind Osgood, said, “There is no way in good conscience that I could bring anybody back into the school environment, on the bus, the cafeteria, and not have a mask mandate"
