Publication Date: 04/29/2021 The Transition Oversight Group (TOG) has been working actively since February 2021, under the leadership of Chair Peter Ngure (Kenya) and Vice Chair Mariama Abdou Gado (Niger), in refining and moving forward the establishment of the new structure. The TOG is working across three workstreams – establishing the future governance structure, operationalizing the five regional hubs and recruiting a new Executive Director to lead the next stage of the partnership. TOG members are engaged in debating and improving the concept for FP2030 in the new decade, through close work with the Secretariat and the Transition Management Team.
RFIs were released in April to solicit expressions of interest from organisations interested in hosting the two Africa regional hubs covering North, West and Central Africa and East and Southern Africa. The hubs, with a cluster of dedicated FP2030 staff, will be embedded within an established host organization in a strategically located country in each region.
