CITY OF MALOLOS, Bulacan - This province will launch its 911 emergency hotline to boost emergency response and assistance to Bulakenyos in times of emergencies. The launching is set to be held at the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium here on October 28. The Bulacan 911 emergency shall be under the supervision of the Bulacan Rescue-Communications, Command and Control Center (C4) of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office. Bulakenyos can receive quick response in emergencies such as medical (heart attack, stroke, etc.), vehicular accident, fire reports, collapsed structure, and natural disasters like flood, typhoons, earthquakes who need immediate rescue. As stated in President Rodrigo Duterte's Executive Order No. 56, series of 2018 institutionalizing the 911 hotline as the nationwide emergency answering point, all local government units (LGUs) shall establish their local 911 call centers where calls shall be free of charge, in partnership with the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) and PLDT, Inc.
