WDIO Created: April 26, 2021 09:25 PM Lower Michigan Street, from near 21st Avenue West to West Michigan Street, closed Monday as part of the Twin Ports Interchange Project. It will reopen in October as a temporary two-lane by-pass to carry southbound I-35 traffic through fall of 2022. This is just one many closures that Lincoln Park businesses have had to contend with through-out the year already. Millie Tuura, the store manager of Auto Value right off of Lower Michigan Street, said these closures have mainly been affecting the store’s delivery drivers. “Their routes have to kind of change and it takes a little bit more time getting to places,” she explained. “That’s a little bit harder for customers too because [as] we have to try to get stuff delivered quickly as we can.”
