City Clerk Brian Ahart Cadiz City Council members heard the first reading of an ordinance Tuesday evening that would add wording to possibly allow a doctor’s office to open in the historic district of downtown. City Clerk Brian Ahart told the council the zoning text amendment would be for conditional uses for R-1 and R-2 properties. The ordinance stated that written approval is still needed from the board of zoning adjustment. The first reading of the ordinance change comes after months of back-and-forth between the city and the board of adjustments, a part of the Cadiz-Trigg County Planning Commission.
