For me, going to a college out of state made these feelings even more intense. Although Pittsburgh is only three and a half hours away, moving to Athens felt like moving to a different planet. I knew very few people before classes started, and I was genuinely scared that the COVID-19 pandemic would make my chances of meeting new people worse. I’m happy to announce that was far from the truth.
