As parents, students and teachers walked through the Heritage Hills Elementary campus for the first time Wednesday afternoon, it was evident that there was excitement building around one of the new elementary school campuses in the Canyon Independent School District opening in August. But it was not all because of the new building. “Yes, you can be wowed by the space itself,” Yolanda Delaney, the director of elementary leadership for Canyon ISD, said. “But to think about the kids and how they will actually utilize these spaces and what we could dream up for the future of education, that’s what we are excited about.”
