Early Wednesday afternoon a vehicle crashed into Tri-Towers Apartments in downtown Duluth, hitting the gas meter and causing a gas leak.
The Duluth Fire Department was called to the scene, at 22 N. Second Ave. E., at approximately 1:09 p.m. and evacuated the building, said city of Duluth Public Information Officer Kate Van Daele. The evacuation lasted about 30 minutes, during which Comfort Systems turned off the gas.
