( Priority News Network) SYOSSET, NY — A woman was injured Tuesday afternoon when the car she was riding in veered off the roadway and slammed into the side of a Syosset home, a Nassau County Police spokesman said. Police said the couple was traveling along Doone Drive, just off of Woodbury Road, at about 4:35 p.m. when the man driving the car somehow lost control of the vehicle, causing it to leave the roadway. The car appeared to have crashed through a fence and, according to police, hit an area in the back of the house, rupturing a natural gas line.
