Cardinal Gibbons still playing for volleyball state title after school moves to virtual learning Tags: Updated January 22, 2021 10:12 a.m. EST By Nick Stevens, HighSchoolOT managing editor Raleigh, N.C. — Cardinal Gibbons High School announced on Thursday evening that it was moving to a fully virtual learning platform for two weeks at the recommendation of the Wake County Department of Health. According to a letter sent to Cardinal Gibbons families, three additional cases of COVID-19 have been identified at the school — two students and one staff member. There has been transmission between members of the Cardinal Gibbons community and another school in the Diocses.
