Carpenter found guilty of intentionally damaging ATM 09 May 2021 - 14:43 The Peninsula Doha: The court of first instance punished a carpenter who committed the crime of intentionally damaging an ATM inside a bank with imprisonment and deportation. The Public Prosecution had accused a person of destroying an ATM, during maintenance work inside the bank’s building. The police searched the place and the surveillance cameras revealed that a person wearing a mask, gloves and sunglasses entered the bank and went to the ATM with a hammer and nail in his hand to damage the ATM machine. During the time the man entered the place, there was ongoing maintenance work, so the police recognised him through surveillance cameras and summoned him for questioning. His room was searched and the police found gloves, sunglasses, a hammer and the bag in which all these things were hidden.
