Article content With all students learning from home, local Catholic elementary schools celebrated Education Week this month – virtually. “We delivered a first-time fully virtual Catholic Education Week,” said Nadia Zanatta, vice-principal at Our Lady of Lourdes French Immersion School. She said last year’s education week had a few events on Facebook, but this year was a solid school wide event with the theme ‘Nurturing Hope’. Zanatta said the entire school met on Google Meet for a kickoff assembly on the Monday morning (May 10). Events during the week included a daily theme, dance parties and read alouds. The school delivered packages to the home of each student that included a gardening kit to plant vegetables, template activities, school swag and treats.
