Vibha Sharma New Delhi, April 14 In view of the increasing Covid cases in the country, the Union Education Ministry on Wednesday cancelled the CBSE Class-10 exams and postponed the CBSE Class-12 exams. The exams were scheduled to begin on May 4. The education board would review the situation on June 1, it was said in an official statement. A notice of at least 15 days would be given before the start of the examination, the statement said. The decision was taken at a high-level meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi with Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal and key officials. According to the statement, Modi said the well-being of students is the top priority of the government. He said the Centre would ensure that the health of students is taken care of and their academic interests are not harmed.
