The livelihood project dubbed “Kabuhayan Assistance for Displaced Clark Freeport Zone Workers” will benefit 77 individuals. Under the agreement, each beneficiary will receive financial assistance from Food Panda Philippines, Inc. (FPPI).
CDC Officer-in-Charge Mariza Mandocdoc said a start-up allowance amounting to PhP3,000, including a PhP500 first year insurance for each Food Panda rider to be hired, will be given once its operation commences inside the Freeport.
“It’s heartwarming for us to find a partner in Food Panda. Probably for us it’s just a signing of document or hiring, but for employees who have been displaced, that means a lot to their families and to them,” she said.
