PHOTO: REUTERS ISLAMABAD: The Central Development Working Party (CDWP) on Wednesday approved four development projects related to health, physical planning and housing at a cumulative cost of Rs24 billion. During a meeting chaired by Planning Commission Deputy Chairman Mohammad Jehanzeb Khan, three projects related to health worth Rs17.10 billion were presented. First project was named “Development of Integrated Disease Surveillance and Response System with Public Health Laboratories Network and Workforce Development for Transition of Field Epidemiology and Laboratory Training Programme” worth Rs4.54 billion, second project was titled “Strengthening of 12 DHQ Hospitals Building Capacity to Respond to Covid-19/any Future Pandemic in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa” worth Rs6.51 billion and third project was “Covid-19 Response and National Calamities Programme” worth Rs6.04 billion. The CDWP approved the three projects.
