Central Square, N.Y. -- Central Square schools will go completely remote starting Thursday, joining a growing list of schools making this choice.
“We have seen a significant increase in COVID-19 cases and quarantines since the Thanksgiving holiday and while we have not seen a spread within our schools, the number of quarantines have led to a staffing shortage,” Superintendent Thomas Colabufo said in a letter to parents. “We are hoping that the number of cases and quarantines will lessen and allow us to properly staff our buildings for in-person learning after the holiday break.”
