Centre tightens noose to curb financial frauds & unsolicited messages using telecom platforms New Delhi, Feb 15 (UNI) With an aim to make digital transactions secure, reliable and trustworthy, the Centre has tightened noose to prevent financials frauds like in Jamtara in Jharkhand and Mewat in Haryana wherein fraudulent activities has been done using telecom platform. A high level meeting chaired by the Union Minister for Information Technology and Communication Ravi Shankar Prasad on Monday asked the officials to take strict action against erring telemarketers and individuals involved in harassment of telecom subscribers with a clear directions of taking strict and tangible action to stop such activities immediately especially to the telecom resources being used to carry out financial frauds and dupe the common man of his hard-earned money.
