Chances of hospitalisation after COVID vaccination are 0.06 pc, says Indraprastha Apollo Hospital study ANI | Updated: May 15, 2021 18:02 IST New Delhi [India], May 15 (ANI): The Indraprastha Apollo Hospital in Delhi said on Saturday on the basis of an observational study that 97.38 per cent of those vaccinated were protected from the COVID-19 infection and the chances of hospitalisation after the vaccination are 0.06 per cent. The hospital has released the results of an observational study of healthcare workers to evaluate the frequency of 'Break Through Infection' (infections after the vaccination) of COVID-19. The observational study was carried out on healthcare workers who reported to Delhi's Indraprastha Apollo Hospital with symptomatic COVID-19, during the first 100 days of the vaccination drive using the Covishield vaccine. The findings of the study are under consideration for publication in a peer-reviewed medical journal.
