Deseret News Share this story Salt Lake County Jail SALT LAKE CITY — A homeless man was charged Thursday with breaking into the downtown Matheson Courthouse and damaging several computers. Tyler James Tresner, 32, now faces a criminal charge in that same building of criminal mischief, a second-degree felony. After the courthouse, 450 S. State, was closed for the day on Monday, a Salt Lake County sheriff’s deputy working security saw Tresner running through the building, according to charging documents. The deputy discovered that Tresner “had used a large rock to shatter the glass door and a window” to get in, and then “shattered” several computers and monitors, the charges state.
