(WCSC) - Charleston Countyâs 911 Center is looking to fill 36 vacancies between their call takers, law dispatchers and fire dispatchers. Right now the call center is running with about two thirds of the staff they need, and Charleston County Consolidated Dispatch Director Jim Lake says bringing on more people canât happen soon enough. âIt can be quite a dangerous proposition when the 911 center doesnât have enough staff to answer your calls.â Lake said.
