Chesterfield Select Board backs speeding up vaccine for New Hingham staff

CHESTERFIELD — The Select Board has agreed to back an effort to get teachers and staff at New Hingham Regional Elementary School vaccinated against COVID-19 during the Phase 1 rollout.
The elementary school, which serves both Chesterfield and Goshen, has been teaching students full time and in person since October. As such, Chesterfield-Goshen Regional School Committee Member Geoffrey Gougeon has launched an effort to allow staff and teachers to be given the vaccine alongside first responders, who are currently being vaccinated.
