After all, who knows the subject better than the people being interviewed? That became apparent, again, this week in conversation with two executive directors — Tmira Marchment (SOFIA House) and Stephanie Taylor (Regina Transition House) — for a series of stories on the Leader-Post Christmas Cheer Fund. Both of them answered the final question by emphasizing that, despite all the restrictions necessitated by COVID-19, Regina’s women’s shelters remain available to anyone who must escape an abusive domestic situation. “I think it’s important for members of the public to know that shelters continue to be open, and we’ll always help people who need a safe place to stay,” Marchment said.
