With a new take on Charles Dickens' favourite characters, the star will be in the series which is a "funny, optimistic fast-paced comedy-drama" that is set before the events of Oliver Twist. It has been written and created by Emmy Award winner Rhys Thomas and is one of the many dramas being released in 2021. According to the synopsis, Dodger "follows the exploits of the infamous pickpocket, the Artful Dodger, and Fagin’s gang as they find ingenious ways to survive the grim and exploitative conditions of early Victorian London in the 1830s".
