Clare Councillors Call For Maximum Income Threshold For Social Housing To Be Re-Examined 11th May 2021 Clare Councillors are calling for maximum income thresholds for social housing in this county to be re-examined. Under limits set back in 2011, the most a single person can earn in Clare to qualify to apply for a council house is €25,000 – with small percentages added for dependents and other adults in each household. The maximum income threshold in neighbouring counties is €30,000 or above, including in the likes of Limerick, Kerry and Waterford.
