Updated: 11:52 AM EDT April 9, 2021 CLEVELAND — Bond was set at $100,000 after Alexander Lackey, 35, pleaded not guilty in court Friday to multiple charges, including five counts of rape. His first pre-trial has been set for April 19 at 9 a.m. Conditions of his bond include court-supervised release, surrendering his passport, GPS monitoring and no contact with the victim. 3News’ Mark Naymik reported earlier this week that a Cuyahoga County Grand Jury secretly indicted Lackey last month on five counts of rape, three counts of sexual battery and one count of domestic violence. Cleveland City Hall hired Lackey in December 2014 as a special assistant to the mayor, according to 2019 city payroll records. His annual salary is $64,500, the records show.
